Dina Kiwan is Associate Professor in the Department of Sociology, Anthropology and Media Studies, at the American University of Beirut, Lebanon, since September 2012, and formerly a Senior Lecturer in Citizenship Studies at Birkbeck College, University of London, UK, and co-director of the International Centre for Education for Democratic Citizenship (ICEDC), University of London, UK.
