This book will serve as a guide for all those interested in human rights in the mining sector that has existed in Senegal for many years. In recent decades, new global economic giants have emerged in a context where human rights are gaining ground and asserting themselves in the workplace. This is why our attention is drawn to the question of respect for the fundamental rights and freedoms of those directly involved in mining. Indeed, the study will make it possible to see the human rights which have a fundamental and inderogable character whatever the situation considered in front of the labour law which governing the mining activity, is based on principles founded on the relational imbalance between the employee to whom the implementation of his rights must be ensured in front of the powers of the employer who wants to be absolute within his company in the name of the property. The analysis of this issue is addressed in the Senegalese mining sector mainly within the Grande CôteOperation which presents risks of violation of workers' rights.
