In spite of its elimination from current educational programs, the study of the humanities is of extreme importance because through it values are promoted, human capacities are developed, and not only education is improved, but also the emotional well-being of the student, all with the aim of building a better society. Therefore, and under the present circumstances, an educational method that focuses on the importance of the humanities is really necessary. For this reason, in this work, three teachers with extensive experience in the field of teaching reflect on the perspectives of some authors who have explored the theme, as in this particular case of Giambattista Vico, Martha Nussbaum, Jean Piaget, and Lev Vigotsky. But not only do they analyze their methods, but the authors make proposals for educational programs to achieve notable improvements in both the social and educational spheres, since only in this way will societies be able to achieve positive and surprising results if the humanities and the Socratic method are implemented correctly at the educational level.
