The surrounding Humber Valley is currently undergoing a transition from woodland to exclusive high end resort area. A 300+ unit, 2 golf course development called Humber Valley Resort is currently in progress on the riverbank in the Boom siding area. There is also Strawberry Hill resort which is located along the lower Humber.
