It is not all humor, though. There are some deep, reflective . . . contemplations. This book is NOT intended for young children - though they certainly would enjoy large parts of it. They do enjoy the rhyming. It was written with the intention to maintain a child's interest in reading from intermediate stages, through to adult level reading and beyond. Some of the words and concepts used will certainly be a stretch, but not too much. The rhyming helps! This would be a great book for young people to share with their grandparents. Both age groups will enjoy it.
