Gaje Singh strove to improve the lives of the peasantry and labourers by revolting against the powers that he believed embodied the bourgeoisie. He had to flee to avoid arrest but ended up getting involved with the Naxalites. His progeny sank deeper into the quagmire, no matter how hard they tried to extricate themselves.
