Energy storage and management is the crucial factor in today's energy scenario. Proper utilization of available energy resources is essential for all countries. The emphasis towards the use of non-conventional, pollution free energy resources is elevated which encompasses the resources such as green energy, hydroelectricity, hydrogen fuel, wind energy and solar energy. Safe and hazard-free usage of energy resources is highly required. Hydrogen, being the cleanliest and high calorific fuel need to be monitored properly during its storage and usage. In this book, we have discussed the methods for detection of leakages of hydrogen gas into the environment. The discussion includes introduction to gas sensors, preparation and characterization of hydrogen gas sensors using semiconducting metal oxides (SMO), polymer and noble metal doping. The outcomes of hydrogen gas sensing of nanofibers are explained in terms of response, recovery and selectivity of nanofibers.
