The use of water for various purposes depends on its quality. It can be assessed by Hydro geochemical analysis and it becomes a meaningful exercise when coupled with GIS. This concept has been applied to groundwater around inactive mines, South-western part of the Cuddapah basin, Y.S.R. District of Andhra Pradesh.
