Even in the present age, despite significant achievements in the fields of science and technology, the adequate and assured water supply still remains the basic problem of mankind at certain areas due to adverse effects of climatic conditions. Pullampet, Kadapa dt, the drought prone district of Rayalaseema, where the people have to depend on groundwater for all purposes, specially for agriculture which is their main occupation. The present investigation is considered in the view of the above, detailed hydrogeological studiesof a mandal as a unit is undertaken by the author. This book is prepared to meet the requirements of farmers in avoiding the wrong locations of wells and adverse affects of their economy.

He is also Doctorate in Geology (1994)and Education (2010) from S.V.University, Tirupathi.He has 22 years of experience as a lecturer, H.O.D.(Geology), Vice Principal, Principal (Education)&working as a Professor in Civil Engg Dept,SIETK,Puttur,AP.
