The South-eastern Mediterranean was one of the least investigated areas until the last two decades. Also the hydrographic structure of the Nile Delta which is focal points for the trade, agriculture and fisheries has poorly studied. This book, therefore, provides significant contributions to a much needed understanding of water structure, masses, fluxes, balances and circulation. It investigates the changes in characteristics of the Atlantic Waters as they move eastwards along the Egyptian coast in the South-eastern Mediterranean for the last 50 years (1959-2008). The Book also examined changes that occurred in the characteristics of the water masses off the Egyptian coast as a result of damming the Nile River in 1965. It should be especially useful to professionals in Oceanography and Marine Meteorology fields, Universities, Marine Research Centers and anyone else who interested in marine environment.
