The hyoid bone, a completely suspended bone in the throat connected by various muscles and ligaments plays a crucial role in a lot of functions of the craniofacial complex. It's plays a very important role in obstructive sleep apnea which is one of the most commonly affected diseases nowadays. This book include the embryology, anatomy, attachments, functions and it's position in different malocclusions and obstructive sleep apnea.
