Polymer science and technology is a fast growing and dynamic area of study. Therefore, the basis for this book originally stemmed from our passion for developing new polymeric material for multipurpose applications. Therefore, Hypercrosslinked Polymer Materials: Design, Synthesis and Characterization is among the first books to describe the recent developments in advanced polymer materials. It is designed to provide insight how to design, synthesize and characterize the hypercrosslinked polymer and their derivatives. The book is aimed specifically at graduate students and post-graduate students that are engaged in the study of polymer science and engineering and generically at those studying chemical engineering, materials science, and engineering. The content has been classified into five chapters that covers the synthesis, structures, and properties of polymers. In addition, the book introduces and describes the polymerization techniques to synthesize precursor polymer, post-polymerization to synthesize hypercrosslinked polymer and chemical modification reaction prior to obtain ion-exchange polymer resin as hypercrosslinked polymer derivatives.
