The book contains the information regarding the influence of socioeconomic variables for the prevalence of hypertension, retinopathy and disability in obese-diabetic adults of Bangladesh. The risk of prevalence of hypertension was more in urban, non-Muslim, married elderly males. Primary level education, retirement, higher economy, smoking habit, habit of taking restaurant food, physical inactivity, involvement in sedentary activity, and longer duration of diabetes were the risk factors for hypertension. Muslim rural illiterate elderly adults were at higher risk of prevalence of disability. Retirement, high economy, smoking habit, habit of taking restaurant food, involvement in sedentary activity, high normal blood pressure and longer duration of diabetes were also the risk factors for prevalence of disability. Optimum blood pressure and longer duration of diabetes were the risk factors for prevalence of retinopathy. The responsible variables were identified when patients group were discriminated from other adults.
