Hypertension in pregnancy continues to be a health problem in the world, and is associated with high maternal, fetal and neonatal morbimortality, it is considered necessary to achieve unified criteria for its management, with the aim of describing the behavior of the main risk factors and complications of hypertensive disorders during pregnancy in patients who gave birth from January-October 2018 in the urban area belonging to the teaching Polyclinic of Santo Domingo, a comparative descriptive type of research was conducted with two groups: one with pregnant women with Hypertensive Disorder and another with pregnant women who did not present the pathology, 176 deliveries occurred, of them 43 for 24.4% presented hypertensive disorders, in this group 20.9% adolescents and 32.6% presented 35 years or older, obese patients 30.2% study group in the other 15,8%, family and personal history of hypertensive disorder in previous pregnancies and chronic arterial hypertension were in greater proportion, the type of hypertension that predominated was mild preeclampsia, maternal complications Caesarean section and fetal complications Delayed Intrauterine Growth (RCIU).
