"In 1903, Lulu Bell Parr found herself living over the Buckeye Sign Company in Blackwater Steubenville, Ohio. Divorced, twenty-six years old, with a third-grade education, she did what no other woman would do. She ran away and joined the Pawnee Bill Wild West show to begin one of the longest careers in Wild West show biz history. A headliner with Buffalo Bill, the 101 Ranch, and Pawnee Bill, she rode bucking broncos before audiences around the world. This is her story."--Publisher marketing.
