It was the way Perry chose to heal from his own pain; honor the lives of Steve, Janette, and Eliot; and give a gift of love to their friends and family, and especially his nephew Alec. As an ongoing conversation with Steve, it is also a reminder to anyone struggling with the loss of someone very dear that the conversation need never end, because true love has a story to tell and a voice that can never be stilled. This Second Edition also deals with additional grief due to the death of Alec, who, at the age of 34, took his own life, never having been able to overcome the tragedy of losing his family. Grieving, healing, and loving is a life-long process.
Autorenporträt
Author Perry Robert Wilkes lived in New Mexico's beautiful Rio Grande Valley for fifty years. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the School of Architecture at the University of New Mexico, and specializes in passive solar residential design and energy efficiency. He taught passive solar workshops throughout New Mexico and the Southwest in the 1980s and served for many years on the board of the New Mexico Solar Energy Association. He is a past president of the Downtown Neighborhoods Association. Wilkes travels in Mexico, South America, the Russian Far East, and Europe, encountering local people on various forms of public transportation, while photographing and writing about his travels.
