Paul Okamnaonu Nwaogu hails from Olokoro in Umuahia South Local Government Area of Abia State of Nigeria. He rose from a humble beginning as a pupil teacher to the exalted position of a professor of special education. He has a Ph.D. from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale Illinois in the United States of America. He taught in tertiary institutions in the United States, Nigeria, Botswana and the Republic of Tanzania. He published books and wrote articles in international journals. He is married with five children. His wife and children have university degrees.
