Tika Sumpter, an accomplished actor, producer, and podcaster, has established herself as one of Hollywood's most sought-after multi-hyphenates. This year, Tika proudly introduces her debut children's book, I Got It From My Mama, the first of many anticipated stories. Beyond her writing, she continues to expand her media company, Fort-Sumpter.com, with a mission to provide more peace to make every day more joyful, by creating content for parents and placing women and mothers front and center. Tika and her husband Nick's children's podcast, "Adventures of Curiosity Cove," available on all major podcast platforms, is part of this initiative. Tika will soon be seen in MGM's "THE UNDERGOGGS," alongside Snoop Dogg and Mike Epps. Recently, she made her directorial debut with the short film "NIGHT OFF," which screened at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival for Hartbeat's Women Write Now fellowship and is currently streaming on Peacock. Her recent credits include the NAACP-nominated short "FATHEAD" (2023) and "SONIC THE HEDGEHOG 2 and 3".
