Houshang Naimi was born in Hamadan, Iran, on February 1,1934. He studied medicine in Tihrán and London, England. Dr. Naimi returned to his homeland, where he became a general surgeon, gaining a great deal of experience in Búshihr. In November of 1969 he immigrated to Montreal, Canada, did his internship at St. Mary's Hospital, and after deep reflection, decided to enter general medicine. Dr. Naimi then set up a family practice in Beaconsfield, Quebec, retiring in June of 2018 at the onset of Parkinson's Disease. Dr. Naimi is a compassionate physician who has treated countless patients over many decades. Sadly, he developed a dangerous neurodegenerative disease that has no cure. Although this disease has seriously disabled his body, his spirit and will remain strong. As chronicled in this book, his mind and soul are at peace, and he has accepted this terrible adversity through the power of his soul and the strength of his faith.A-M.
