The story leads us from Villon's student years, when he used to be an assiduous scholar of Sorbonne and foster child of the senior Priest Guillaume de Villon, to the time when the poet gets involved with bad company. New "friends" lead the unsuspecting Villon into the world of thefts, burglaries, and finally - murder. After the crime, Villon is banished from Paris and he wanders the precincts of the city while fighting for survival, retaining his fervent mind, sharp tongue, and ability to best his enemies and ill-wishers in his poems. However, the prodigal son returns to Paris to find his place in this world. After being banished for the last time, he disappears from Paris and vanishes from history.

Lisa Monde - playwright, director, composer, actress, singer. Lisa began her directing and acting career in Europe.After touring with renowned European theater companies, Lisa moved to NYC. There are eight CD's with original songs, a great number of concerts, performances, and radio/TV broadcasts in Lisa's portfolio. Lisa is also the author of dozens of musical compositions for theater and film, as well as eight staged musicals and seven plays. Her love for Medieval poetry and, especially, Francois Villon, has inspired Lisa to create several shows dedicated to the life and works of Villon: Francois Villon,Three Days in Paris: The Musical (2010) and I Know All Save Myself Alone (2012) - which are the results of long years of researching the poet's life and creations. Having gained a Master's Degree in Linguistics (MSU) and a Ph.D. in Musical Theater Performance (Moscow State Pedagogical University), Lisa has always admired language and music, and the beautiful combination they make in theater. I Cry You Mercy Everyone was the most recent theatrical production of Villon's story in New York. Lisa composed music for the poet's ballads, and the musical version of this play was born.
