Autorenporträt
Christopher Coe war Schriftsteller, Fotograf und Chansonier. Er lebte in New York und Paris und veröffentlichte zwei Bücher, für die er mit Marcel Proust und Oscar Wilde verglichen wurde.
Die New York Times schrieb schon nach Erscheinen seines ersten Romans: Coe ist wahrscheinlich der mutigste und vielleicht beste Autor seiner Generation. Und Publishers Weekly fand Coes zweiter Roman Such Times sei der schwule Roman des Jahrzehnts . Christopher Coe starb 1994 an den Folgen von Aids.
