Many people struggle with loving themselves; as some wonder, is this a selfish act? Some don't know where to start, and others grapple within the realms of this popular saying: "Love your neighbor as yourself". But what if I don't love myself, how can I then love others? I realized that people fail to love and forgive themselves and by extension, lack the aptitude to pass such beautiful traits on to others. Inadvertently, the lack of love, empathy and forgiveness that we have towards each other gives rise to many of the problems we face as a family, community, country and world. If each person goes back to the basics of intentionally and actively loving themself a little more, as outlined in this book, then others will benefit from their sense of belonging, peace of mind, and from the verdant and pristine environment created. The level of acceptance and attraction for the beauty of each other would surpass the crass and toxic environment faced daily. Each person would stand in their 'own' strength as individuals to love and be loved. Oh, the endless positive possibilities of the simplicity, yet extremely powerful outturn of loving yourself just a little more by starting from the inside out. It would be remiss if we take on such a journey and tumultuous endeavor to love ourselves and others unconditionally without Elohim, who is the author of love and who has created us in His love. We will never be able to exhaust the boundaries of love with all our effort and might. This magnificent experience you and I will encounter can only be more exhilarating and fulfilled when we are led and guided by Him who is the author of the phenomenon of love.

N. Nickola Freeman is an imagery poet, philanthropist, and nurse. She went to nursing school at the Northern Caribbean University, Jamaica, and graduated with honors. While in school she enjoyed working as an editor for some of her fellow schoolmates' term papers and writing speeches for oral presentations. During her working career, she worked at her alma mater where she was first exposed to writing articles, about health, for the university's newspaper. During her formative years, Nickola was constantly told that she could not read and was termed as 'slow'. At age twenty-eight she was diagnosed as being Dyslexic. The shackles of these labels were shattered when she embraced this trait as a part of her and decided to become an author. She believes that "he who expresses himself in poetry has experienced life outside the capsule of regularity while he who knows not poetry has not lived but merely exist as an empty shell. Nickola is currently working on her next book, Wanting off the Miracle list. When not on nursing duties and writing, she can be found modelling and decorating small spaces.
