This study was undertaken to look into intelligence quotient, emotional quotient, study habits, personality adjustment, gender, family income, parents' occupation and academic achievements, bases for counseling. A questionnaire was constructed to elicit the required data that provide answers to the specific questions. Aside from the questionnaires, three psychological tests such as the Culture Fair Test Scale 2, the California Test of Personality (CTP) and Survey of Study Habits and Attitudes (SSHA) were given. An emotional intelligence questionnaire was also developed by the researcher to determine their emotional intelligence. Findings of the study revealed that high achievers have good study habits and attitudes, as compared to the average and low achievers. The results revealed that the low achievers had higher means in the study habits than their study attitudes. Among the normal achievers, the mean in the study habits revealed similar pattern shown by the low achiever, but the normal achievers were higher in comparison to the latter.
