Guglielmo and his wife, Angela, were just two ordinary people who fell in love very young, married, and continued on with their lives, just as their parents had done before them. They raised four children and dealt with the ups and downs of life over many decades of marriage. And then they found themselves facing a battle with pancreatic cancer. I Take Thee, Angela presents poems that were the result of Guglielmo's outpouring of emotions that occurred over the two and a half years of suffering that Angela endured during her struggle with cancer. So deep and so strong was the love they shared that it was their sustenance during a period when nothing seemed to matter except overcoming the monster that had become such an all-consuming part of their lives. The lesson Guglielmo carried away from that experience is to not take for granted the happiness that we can enjoy during the time that God has given us all to share with one another. We should all cherish the fact that we are together and love and respect our relationship to the fullest. No one knows what tomorrow may bring. Born from one man's heart and formed from the love of someone very special, this collection of poetry recalls the love and lives of two people through the years.
