Truly inspired! It's now taken me to 2024 to find my writing mojo once more and this time to recall my punk rock tales from 1977-79, that defined my latter teenage years. That ultra crucial period of leaving school, hitting 16, getting your first job (and pay packet) and then discovering this whole new sub-culture of music, fashion, friends and gigs- that has left a deep scar on my psyche to this very day. Just like The Teds of the mid 1950s and the Mods from the early 60s, I was young enough in the late 1970s to capture my very own musical zeitgeist: at that most exciting period when you're brazenly young, without a damn care in the world, on a voyage of personal discovery into the punk rock vortex and beyond...
