Teresa Adkins, better known as Granny T. by her students and friends, is a children's writer and the author of I Wish I Was Special, Greedy Gradey, and Little Lizzie Tells a Lie. For nearly twenty years, she has taught elementary age children. Currently teaching at Mosaic Church in Clarksville, Tennessee, she has a burning passion to instill joy and confidence in every child, teaching them that they are a one-of-a-kind masterpiece of God with a purpose and mission here on earth, even at their young age. Her favorite saying is, "Never underestimate the power of a kid." Inspired by God, she writes and illustrates her books to help kids deal with everyday emotions like fear, jealousy, anger, judgement and self-doubt. She received her diploma from The Children's Institute of Literature and has had her artwork feared in Tennessee magazine, on Tennessee Crossroads T.V. show, and in the Gatlinburg arts and crafts fair. She currently resides in Clarksville, Tennessee with her husband of fifty-four years. She has three adult children, five grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.
