If there ever was an animal like a Bigfoot, the Griffin is a close second. A barely human, crazed individual who believes he is Prometheus the Griffin, a Titan from Greek mythology. He becomes the enforcer of an old Indian legend, which he believes can free him from the wrath of the gods. Rice Bay is his domain, and he learns to protect it with a brutality that puts fear into the local residents of Tanner's Lake.
