He is the coeditor, with Manfred Svensson, of Secularization, Desecularization, and Toleration: Cross-Disciplinary Challenges to a Modern Myth. RACHEL L. SCHROEDER is an assistant professor of sociology at Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, Michigan.
