ICTs (Information and Communication Technologies) has proven its importance at University Higher Education, Distance and Open Learning with its wide range of benefits starting from self-learning content, student support services, learner-teacher communication, online assessment and many more. The author has also worked upon several ICT Projects sponsored by World Bank targeted to higher education like techED1, TechEd2, TEQIP etc. and experienced various positive and negative aspects towards using ICT at higher education. The Author has focused the use and implementation of ICTs at higher education institutions in India. With the descriptive research and study of government policies, vision plans towards ICT implementation the author documented the ICT initiatives in India. The findings of his research, the author in this book put forth some of the suggestions towards use and implantation of ICTs at Higher Education in India.
