This study aims to analyze the impact of new information and communication technologies on agricultural extension in the Niono area. The methodological approach that led to the elaboration of the document was based on documentary review, field observation, development of data collection tools, sampling, field data collection, data analysis and processing. In addition, the study revealed that the use of ICTs could increase agricultural production and productivity, according to 99% of respondents; with regard to environmental preservation, 98% affirmed that ICTs could make agricultural practices more respectful of the environment. The vast majority of producers expressed a willingness to pay for the various services provided by ICT in the context of their farming activities. Finally, this study shows that the level of education among farmers is relatively low in the Niono production zone.

Abdoulaye KOURIBA è un giovane maliano nato il 7 ottobre 1986 a Ségou, originario di Bandiagara. I suoi primi passi sono iniziati nella città dei Balanzani, in particolare alla scuola elementare Amadou Hampaté Ba, poi al liceo Cabral di Ségou, prima di completare gli studi universitari alla FLASH (Facoltà di Lettere, Lingue, Arti e Scienze Umane).
