Autorenporträt
Albert Newen geb. 1964, studierte Philosophie, Psychologie und Geschichte in Freiburg und Bielefeld. Promotion 1994. 1995-2002 wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter bzw. Assistent am Philosophischen Seminar der Universität Bonn. Dort Habilitation 2002. 2003-2007 Professor für Sprachphilosophie und Philosophie des Geistes in Tübingen, danach am Institut für Philosophie der Universität Bochum. Seit 2007 ist er Professur für Philosophie mit Schwerpunkt Philosophie des Geistes an der Ruhr-Universität Bochum Albert Newen ist Leiter einer wissenschaftlichen Nachwuchsgruppe der Volkswagen-Stiftung zum Thema 'Selbstbewusstsein und Begriffsbildung beim Menschen'. Raphael van Riel is lecturer at the Institut für Philosophie II, Ruhr-Universität Bochum.
