Autorenporträt
Keyven Lewis was born and raised in Dallas, Texas, and accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior early in his childhood. He graduated from Franklin D. Roosevelt High School and attended Prairie View A&M University, where he studied computer science with minors in mathematics and naval science. After his freshman year, he left Prairie View to join the US Navy to fulfill his desire to serve in an enlisted role before pursuing a commission as a naval officer. During his recruit training, Mr. Lewis obtained the Navy League Award given to the most outstanding recruit during naval boot camp. Opting not to pursue a career as a commissioned officer in the US Navy in his senior year, Mr. Lewis went to work for Texas Instruments. He worked there for five years. That afforded him the opportunity to work internationally in many foreign countries, including France, Italy, Japan, and Germany (visited Austria). For thirteen years, Mr. Lewis worked for Perot Systems, where he had risen to the position of account infrastructure director. In 2009, Perot Systems was acquired by Dell Incorporated. Prior to his current role, he managed the IT infrastructure for the company's second largest commercial customer, National/Alamo Car Rental, an account worth $275 million in revenue. During his tenure at Perot Systems, he was again blessed to work abroad visiting England, Ireland, and India. Mr. Lewis currently works for Dell as a consultant, with an eighteen-year tenure within the company's healthcare division. Throughout his professional career, Mr. Lewis has been involved in several entrepreneurial endeavors, including owning his own travel agency, independent record label, sports agency, and IT consulting company. Mr. Lewis serves on the board of directors for the Chocolate MINT Foundation. This foundation administers a charitable outreach program dedicated to educating and promoting economic growth and social awareness in children, youth, and young adults. His academic accomplishments include training in various technical, project management, delivery leadership, and executive leadership programs. He has successfully obtained subsequent degrees in information technology (bachelors), business administration (masters), and is pursuing his doctorate of management in organizational leadership.
