Autorenporträt
Author and artist, Rose Simon, has combined her two life-long passions of writing and art, in her new book, Jo's Journey: A Resource Book for Stroke Survivors, Caregivers and Coaches. Her book emphasizes the positive relationship that the creative arts can have when combined with traditional healing arts and therapies. Rose received a Master of Arts in Individualized Arts and Education from the University of Montana. This graduate program gave her the skills to design and assess goal-specific activities that incorporate the creative arts for learning. She has used this experience to create the cognitive exercises offered in her book. When not painting or teaching writing workshops, Rose enjoys traveling and raising miniature roses. She lives on an island in the Pacific Northwest and is often found working alongside her writing partner, Buddy, the cat.
