Buried treasure or a curse unearthed? Amidst the ruins of an ancient stone circle, a team of archaeologists uncovers a strange creature that should not exist. Reviving afresh an age-old battle, the discovery pits science against religion-enough perhaps to shake the beliefs of the millions who would count themselves as supporters of either faction. To make matters worse, the lead on the project, Dr. Mallory Jacks, falls in love with the one man who has all the answers. Only Grey McKnight doesn't know it. With each passing day, the upheaval surrounding the findings threatens to shatter their lives into countless surreal pieces. With a smart cast of characters, an intriguing mystery, and fantastic elements, IF THERE BE GIANTS begins the two-novel Watchers series. Fans of archaeology stories, mysteries of the unknown, or myth and legend-based fantasies will enjoy the Watchers series.
Autorenporträt
Ellison Blackburn lives with some of her favorite beings in Seattle, Washington. An early interest in the soft sciences, together with a career in information technology, ignited her curiosity in singularities many years ago. Thus, Ellison pens fiction that seems to crash like a wave over individual lives but rather leave a wake across societies too, stories that present multiple speculative ideas at once-because in real life, singularities will not manifest one after another in an orderly fashion. Among her published works are Flash Back, book one of the women's speculative fiction Fountain trilogy; If There Be Giants, book one of science fiction and speculative fiction Watchers duology; An Untimely End, book one of the science fiction and historical mystery series, the Windy City Files; and the cyberpunk dystopian fiction novella Virtue Us, the Future of Love.
