Tracy Lawson grew up reading mystery stories-and now she approaches historical research with unbridled enthusiasm and a detective's eye. Historic Mills of West Virginia is her fourth nonfiction book. She is also the author of six novels, including Answering Liberty's Call: Anna Stone's Daring Ride to Valley Forge, the first in the Ladies of the Revolution Series.She and her husband, economist Robert Lawson, live near Dallas, Texas. They have one grown daughter.
