The book deals with the matters of re-imagining student life and development at universities where students take an active role in their affairs and development. Universities must stop treating students as tabula rasa, they must be recognised with their lived and learned experiences from their communities, schools, peers, religious and cultural institutions and ad infinitum. It is time for universities to put students at the centre of their business and be student centric in their planning and delivering of their offerings. Universities must also recognise the diverse lived and learned experiences of the students and their diverse religious and cultural needs. Inclusivity at the universities must recognise the injustices of colonialism on the life of the previously colonised people and their identities and knowledge systems. Student Life and Development must enhance the interactions of students and their local communities to solve the world societal problems of inequality, poverty and unemployment through community engagements.
