To ignite the inner lifethat intrinsic spiritual dimension of existenceis to make a pilgrimage withinto move from out there to in here in the orientation of life, work, choices and relationships. This book is directed to those with a focus on spirituality, self-understanding, contemplative prayer, God, or the awakening of the hearts knowledge, regardless of the religious tradition they follow. Anyone on a journey of self-discovery knows that living on the surface of things is never satisfying. Many of us have long intuited, and now science affirms, that we are connected, energetically or via field at the heart, to others and to the world. This book addresses that awareness, which is generally latent, but sometimes long-forgotten, inviting readers to stir the embers within. Often, instead of our hearts, our terrors are guiding and compelling us; and the terrors of the collective psyche are building. We all need guides, role models and mentorsvoices o

Autorenporträt
Regina Sara Ryan has studied contemplation and mysticism for over 40 years. Leaving a Catholic convent in the early 1970s, she began to explore many religious traditions, particularly inspired by the lives of the great women of Hinduism, Christianity, Buddhism and Sufism. Since meeting her own spiritual mentor, the Western Baul master Lee Lozowick in 1984, Regina has continued to follow what she calls a path of "unashamed devotion" in which she works to bring her life of contemplation into action. She conducts seminars and retreats in the U.S. and Europe.
