Karl's entanglement with vindictive Vince a crematorium worker has a devastating effect on his life. In a fit of jealousy Vince in a deceitful way gets the police interested in Karl's relationship with Jamie , resulting in Karl (once a prison officer) being sent to prison. In retaliation Karl reports to the police the goings on at the crematorium he'd witnessed. The stealing of rings off corpses and selling coffins back to an undertaker. As As the story unfolds it tells of Karl's life as a bi-sexual with the love of Sue and his love for Jamie. While in prison Karl keeps track of Vince's whereabouts. On his release he looks him up seeking his revenge careful in controlling his violent temper. The key to this psychological thriller, with several sub-plots, is how Karl plans and exacts his revenge, using Vince's weakness of his love for him to turn his mind, and have him committed to a home for the mentally ill. Executing the perfect crime, with no risk of prosecution. A heart breaking story of emotional blackmail and jealously. Born at the beginning of world war 11in a small Lincolnshire town the author is the middle child of three siblings. End of the war their parents moved to a small village in Lincolnshire working as a farm labour. From the age of ten he and his older brother were expected to work on the farm in their spare time, only enjoying farm life when he was working with horses. All through these tender years he always questioned his sexuality, often falling in love with his friends. Leaving school at the age of 15 he refuses to work on farms full time. Forced to take a job in retail for a large grocery store. Leaving home he worked his way up to shop manager by the time he was 21. Seeing no future in it for himself he quit and went self employed window cleaner, chimney sweep any thing he could earn good money at. As a hard working young man every thing he touched turned into gold, he was never short of money. Trying to sort his sexuality out he married at the age of 23. Eight years and three children later it failed ending in divorce. After living on his own for a few years he took in a male lover lasting over ten years during which time he moved onto buying property to rent out. On his own again foolishly married a young girl again after seven years and three children later it failed ending in divorce. On his own again and still questioning his sexuality he married again for the third time. With no children but twenty years together with a understanding wife perhaps he will settle down in his retirement. Writing about a very extraordinary life he lived
