German artillery has been a subject of study for many years, but it is rare to find the original source material for such studies. These two pamphlets were issued in 1948 and include all known operational German artillery of the Second World War. In the two volumes are no fewer than 198 plates of the guns and their ammunition, and appendices, charts and tables give every detail of the weapons that was available, even to German gunners.The books are introduced with a history of the development of German artillery, and then follow a standard layout.
