What does a retired florist questioning his own life's purpose, a widower forever-late, a father on the trek of his life, an imprisoned jester, and some poor sod crying in a shed all have in common with you and me? We're all going to die, that's what! (Probably shouldn't have written it so excitedly, but I am excited to think about it.) This book is a series of five short stories that delve into death - accepting it, ignoring it, telling it to keel over and fall face-first into a horse's behind. Not everyone thinks about their life's end in the exact same way, and not everyone reads a book about fictional characters facing it, either. But if you are the sort of person with that delectable taste for morbid curiosity, or even if you just want to wrench some meaning from that inevitable checkmate, this is the book for you. About the Author: My name's Aarav Reddy, and this book was a product of hours and hours of sleepless nights, and more than a few hand cramps. The idea of this book was -quite unwillingly- conceived after I landed in the hospital, severely injured after getting into an accident while crossing the road. The fact that I could've died from something so hopelessly normal translated to a sudden realization, which slipped to fear and distress. To keep from constantly panicking, I wrote this book. Sharing stories has always meant the world to me, I've loved experiencing them since before I can remember: from my father and my grandmother when I was younger, to books and television today- other peoples' stories have offered me perspectives I hadn't ever thought of. This is the fifth book I've written, the first to be published, and now I hope my stories do the same for you, each one a different point of view on something that ties all of us together: our own mortality. Happy reading!
