Corinne Van Meter is the mother of child pilot Vicki Van Meter who garnered world-wide attention in 1993 when, at the age of eleven, she became the youngest female to pilot a single-engine aircraft across America and again the following year when she became the youngest female to pilot a single-engine airplane across the Atlantic Ocean. Since Vicki's untimely death in 2008, she has authored several books including Is It Dusk or Is It Dawn: A Hopeful Journey Through Grief, The Little Girl Who Wanted to Fly, an award-winning children's book, and Catapult, a book of spiritual poetry. According to Corinne, her books have been created to elevate, inspire, and celebrate life in all its moments from sadness and struggle to joy and peace.
