James 'Jim' Murphy was born in Rabat, Morocco, North Africa. After a few years, the family moved to Louisiana, then to Puerto Rico. There, he found Jesus and was baptized at age seven in Barinkin Baptist church, Aguadia, a small village on the northwest side of the island. James became an American citizen in San Juan, a few months after becoming Christian in 1960. In 1969, the family moved to Bunker Hill, Indiana. This is where God led James to his soul mate, Jean. He saw her one day at a pool, and finally met her eighteen months later. They became high school sweethearts, and were married in 1974, and have been happily married since. They have three grown daughters, six grandchildren, and one great grandson. He and Jean moved to Cheyenne, Wyoming, in 1996, and have resided there since. James served his chosen country, The United States of America, for over twenty three years in the Air Force. He was a medic, specializing in Aerospace Medicine. He has an Associate's Degree in Science from the Community College of the Air Force, an undergraduate certificate in Biblical Studies from Colorado Christian University, and is currently enrolled in the Dallas Theological Seminary, studying Biblical Studies.
