Autorenporträt

Barbara Mis Kelly grew up in Chicago, IL. She was always interested in books, reading, and writing poetry. She received her BA from the University of Illinois in Urbana and her master's in government from Georgetown University. She taught Political Science, U.S. History, and International Relations at New Trier High School before moving to California. Ms. Kelly was the Director of Development for 14 years at a Catholic Pre - 8 elementary school in the Diocese of Orange, CA. She then moved to Indiana to establish a Parents Program at the University of Notre Dame. Barbara began a new 'chapter' in her life by opening Baba Books LLC and self-publishing "Let's Go to Church!" an ABC book in 2018. The author was inspired to write "I'm Too Full!" by her grand-daughter at dinner one day. "I'm Too Full!" is a story of a smart, talented, creative child who eats healthy food and understands the importance of good nutrition. Nelly Rodriguez lives in California and was delighted to illustrate this book. She was very detailed about her illustrations and worked together with the author to produce joy-filled and creative pictures for each page. Ms. Rodriguez is now a Landscape Architect in southern California.
