The imaging capabilities of digital cameras or smartphones have increased and capturing videos has become very easy for scanning, sharing and storing documents. So, people started using smartphones for capturing digital screens, large posters, documents, receipts and some reflective surfaces like ID cards. However, to get the clear picture of the image often multiple snaps may be required where moving across multiple snaps can be difficult and time consuming. To avoid this mosaic of multiple snaps preferably multiple frames of a single video should be obtained in order to obtain the content in single shot.A method to automatically and efficiently construct the mosaicked image for the input video is proposed where the primary focus is on Image Mosaicking using the reference frame. This reference frame is the frame in which the whole document is visible. The algorithms like Homographic Perspective Transformation, Scale Invariant Feature Transformation (SIFT) and Mean Structural Similarity (MSSIM) are leveraged in the process of Image Mosaicking.
