MIRANDA FIELD was born in North London, U.K., and came to the U.S. as an undergraduate. She currently lives in New York City. Married to poet Tom Thompson, with whom she has two children, she teaches poetry (and occasionally fiction) at NYU, Barnard, the New School, and in individual sessions, privately. Her first book of poems, Swallow, was published in 2002.
