This book, as its cover page indicates, is an assessment by its author of an article by a prominent Catholic physicist who contends that the modern theory of evolution, as generally understood and widely taught, can be regarded as quite compatible with Catholic teaching. Don Boland contests this claim and offers a critique of some considerable length of the article. The critique is not based on Catholic teaching except in the sense that it relies on arguments at the level of reason and science drawn from the writings of the Church's Common Doctor, St. Thomas Aquinas.
