Tom Heneghan komt uit Mayo in het westen van Ierland. Opgroeien op dit mistige groene eiland heeft veel nostalgische herinneringen. Hij heeft al drie boeken over dit thema geschreven. In zijn leven tot nu toe is hij zowel een boekdrukker als een Bookstore Manager geweest. Dus in zekere zin is zijn natuurlijke progressie in het schrijven van boeken.
