In a battle that has lasted lifetimes, between the 'Kings of the Jungle' and the 'Masters of Midnight', comes Imani, a young black panther seeking to make sense of it all, and to truly understand why the Lions and the Panthers hated each other so much. Through the unlikeliest friendships formed with a hare and a she-lion, the daughter of a sworn enemy; Imani quickly realises, despite his teachings, going against the code of the claws will be necessary to ensure the survival of them all from a far greater threat. 'Imani: The Black Panther' is a story of love and acceptance overcoming hate. It is a celebration of how our differences make us 'uniquely the same' and through breaking cycles and coming together, whilst still respecting our history, we could achieve so much more. Our Future Depends On It!

Autorenporträt
Only 12 years old and a multitude of talent, Siarrah Qadri-Warburton, is set to be a future trailblazer within the Arts and Literature industry. Having already showcased her ability to sing, dance and act in several theatre and school productions, Siarrah is now shining the spotlight on her writing skills, through her debut title, Imani: The Black Panther. A story partly inspired by her own life experiences and world events. Growing up in a Caribbean/Asian household, Siarrah had always been exposed to diversity and variety. It was only when she began primary school and became exposed to prejudices from others, that a curious Siarrah began to ask questions to make sense of the world around her. Guided by a nurturing but firm mother, it was made clear to Siarrah from a very young age the double burden she would face for the things she could not change. Being black and being female. This lesson was not taught to deter but to emphasise her need to work twice as hard for what she wanted and has been the core principles of Siarrah's attitude to her education and life. As a student, Siarrah excels in all aspects and has received additional recognition for achievements in her thought-provoking and emotive writing skills. Despite her life-long dream of a career in Art and Literature, Siarrah recognises the value of education and still hopes to one day attend University to study History. Born the oldest of three children, Siarrah has always possessed a level of maturity and comprehension beyond her age, with many describing her as 'older than her years', in regard to her natural abilities and wisdom. With that said, she is still a typical young girl who would rather enjoy social media, make-up and fashion than do her chores. As a curious and critical thinker, Siarrah strives to make her content as thought-provoking as possible and is not afraid to push boundaries for a better result or change. In fact, it was this exact attitude that had enabled Siarrah to push the boundaries of what had started as an Art assignment, in becoming a ten-chapter story, in which its values could unite a generation. She is kind, caring and sensitive, and is not afraid to advocate against injustice. Siarrah thrives on creativity and helping others in need and is most happy when there is an opportunity to do both. This is what makes the story of Imani so inspirational, as it truly embodies the essence of Siarrah in its delivery. It is creative, thought-provoking and filled with love. For Siarrah this is another step on the road to success and I urge you to take the journey with her.
