Imidazole and Carboxylate participate strongly and find direct implications in the field of supramolecular chemistry and biology. In this work, a brief bibliographic study is presented, which proves the presence of both ligands in the active centers of metalloproteins, as well as their determining roles in the enzymatic mechanism. In order to contribute to the enrichment of this research field, we have synthesized, structurally characterized and determined magnetic properties of new polymetallic complexes of Mn(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II) with Imidazolate & Carboxylate bridge ligands.
