Walter A. Ewing is Senior Researcher at the American Immigration Council-a nonprofit in Washington, DC, that is devoted to the advancement of U.S. immigration policies that are both practical and humane. Prior to his time at the Council, Walter spent two years as an Immigration Policy Analyst for the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops and two years as a Program Director at the U.S. Committee for Immigrants and Refugees, also located in Washington, DC. Walter has a Ph.D. in anthropology from the City University of New York (CUNY) Graduate Center.
